Peter
Walton. Peter Walton is
one of Redmires' newer recruits, having joined the club at the beginning
of the 2000/2001 season. In his first season with the club, Walton picked
up the Golden Boot award from the BML League, after finishing top scorer
for all divisions. Walton is currently Redmires's 'Center Forward of
Choice', although he frequently has delusions that he can play in midfield
as well. Walton has
a chequered past. Born Peter Redford, Walton is the son of ageing
heart-throb, Robert Redford. Walton had a privileged childhood and has
acting is his blood. However, despite overwhelming odds in his favour,
Walton failed to make the grade as a thespian and finally quite mainstream
acting when his performance in Babes in the Wood was savaged by Movie
Critic, Danny Westpalm. Disowned by his family, Walton's life spiralled
into the depths of depression and only a chance meeting with 'Hardman'
Footballer/Actor Vinney Jones, saved him from a 'fate worst than death' (a
role in Neighbours). Jones convinced Walton to change his lifestyle and
move away from the cut-throat business in Hollywood. Taking this advice to
an extreme, Walton changed his name (his new surname is from his favourite
TV Program), moved to England, got married and became a teacher. Despite
his new career, Walton still has the acting bug and rumours abound that
he's back treading the boards of local theatres as a Pantomime Dame.
